When you are factoring in if the dining plan is worth it for your vacation, don’t forget to consider the cost per night of the Disney Dining Plan. Disney requires you to purchase the dining plan for every night of your resort stay and you must purchase it for every person staying in your resort room. If you have someone who eats like a bird, you’ve still got to buy them the dining plan if they are staying in your room.
That means that if you have 4 people staying in your room and you stay for 4 nights but you are only going to the parks for 3 days, you will still have to pay for the dining plan for 4 days/nights. That will give you 4 Table-Service, 4 Quick-Service and 8 Snack Credits to be used per person.
When you check-in, all of your dining entitlements are added to your account at once. You can then choose how you want to spend them. You could have two or even three Table-Service meals in one day and then have two or three Quick-Service meals the next day. Once you arrive at Disney World it is completely up to you how you spend these entitlements.
