The two resorts I find most Guests debating between are Pop Century (which falls in the Value category) and Port Orleans Riverside (which falls in the Moderate category). Here are a few things Guests had to say about the two:
Pop Century
We stayed at Pop. No shared busses and it is easier on the wallet. We liked it and will stay their again. – Megan
We’ve stayed at Pop Century every year for the past 6 years and love it. The last 3 years we’ve even requested the same room and have gotten it! It is just the two of us but we love the theme and no bus sharing and you can take a walk across the bridge and visit Art of Animation. If your bus is late coming you can hop on the Animation bus and walk over to Pop Century. The decor is wonderful with the super sized blast from the past! We upgrade our dining plan to a snack, counter and table service so we have at least one nice sit down meal a day to unwind. – Sue
Port Orleans Riverside
We stayed at port Orleans and loved it. We are a family of 5 and that was the only place I could find to fit us on our budget. We didn’t take buses since you get free parking when you stay at their resorts. – Nikki
We stayed at Riverside and walking through the resort with all the trees and folage and the quiet pools are great! – Sue
We stayed at PO Riverside last year with a 5 & 2yo & loved it. We had one of the princess bed rooms & my girls enjoyed it. Our room faced the parking lot, but we were ok with that as we were hardly in the room. It was a short walk to one of the bus stops. And, even though the resort is large, there are lots of bridges over to the main building & main pool. And, some of the smaller pools on the resort were big & not very crowded either. Although I don’t have anything to compare to as we’ve only stayed @ Riverside, I’ve heard their food court is one of the better ones. They did have a lot of selection & we ate there more than I thought we would, so that will be a factor in choosing our next resort for us. – Dana
At Port Orleans Riverside you have more space for the whole family in the rooms. Plus, you can put a pack and play in the space near the vanity and pull the curtain shut. This gives your youngest their own space away from the rest of the family. When my kids were younger, this was perfect. Port Orleans Riverside also tends to be much quieter than Pop, again perfect for younger children. – Allison
Comparing The Two
I have stayed at both and Port Orleans hands down! It’s amazing! – Kristen
We have stayed at Port Orleans too but budget wise we are happy with Pop! – Sue
Pop Century. Port Orleans is more for adults and lots of walking. – Doris
When our kids were younger like yours we stayed at Pop. It’s a more upbeat and colorful. Very kid friendly. The added benefit of visiting Art of Animation for pics were a plus. As my children have gotten older we have found that the more laid back atmosphere of Riverside more to our liking. – Allison
We have stayed at both. Pop only has double beds, so that is a deciding factor for us. We like having queen beds. The Royal Rooms at the Riverside are fantastic along with the waterslide. – Watkins
