Takumi-Tei is a new fine dining experience coming to the Japan Pavilion of Epcot’s World Showcase. Here are 7 things to know about Takumi-Tei.
- The new eatery will be run by Mitsukoshi USA. They currently operate the kiosks, merchandise and current restaurants in the Japan Pavilion already.
- The design elements are inspired by the natural beauty of Japan. Guests will find design elements using natural wood and Japanese craftsmanship. In fact, the name Takumi-Tei means house of Artisan.
- The restaurant will have five dining rooms. Guests will find each room inspired by a natural element: earth, stone, water, washi paper and wood.
- The Chef’s Table features an exclusive Menu. Guests will find the Chef’s Table in the Water room, a tranquil setting and an exclusive menu.
- This is a fine dining experience. Guests will find Japanese-inspired dishes, including multicourse tastings. Also stop by for a traditional Japanese tea service and guests 21+ can enjoy premium sake, signature cocktails, wine and craft beer.
- Opening Summer 2019. No Exact date yet announced.
- There is a Dress Code. See the dress code criteria below. It is the same dress code currently in place for Artist Point, California Grill and more.
Dress Code:
Men’s Dress Code: Must wear khakis, slacks or dress shorts and a collared shirt. Good condition Jeans may be worn. Sports coats or Jackets optional. Minimum requirements business casual, Dressier attire is welcomed.
Women’s Dress Code: Must wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses or dress shorts. Good condition Jeans may be worn. Dressier attire is ok. Minimum requirements business casual, Dressier attire is welcomed.
Not allowed: Tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuits or cover-ups, hats (men), cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.
