The Outpost
The outpost is where guests can shop for unique souvenirs, including those of local artisans. Inspiration is taken from exotic marketplaces. Look for an exciting new Star Wars Toy store, sure to be a must visit.
Characters
Disney has confirmed guests will see the following characters: BB-8, Chewbacca, members of the First Order and many more. Also, Rex (pilot) will take on the role of a DJ at the cantina.
X-wing Starfighters
Disney Imagineers have built a fleet of X-wing Starfighters, these are full size and made of metal. Putting guests in a battle with First Order and the Resistance. This attraction does not have a name yet.
Millennium Falcon –
The other highlight attraction puts gusts in control of flying a Millennium Falcon. This attraction has an interesting storyline connection to the Cantina as well. Those guests who end up on Harkos’s list will be in for a surprise if they then go to the Cantina. This unique interactive opportunity sounds intriguing.
Setting For Land is Planet Batuu:
Read Disney’s description of Batuu:
“This remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but its prominence was bypassed by the rise of hyperspace travel. Now home to those who prefer to stay out of the mainstream, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. It’s also a convenient safe haven for those intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order. While Batuu may be new to us, it is clearly already familiar to many characters from the Star Wars saga as a stepping off point for epic adventures.”
