Jiko Restaurant is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Jiko translated from Swahili means “cooking place”. This cooking place just got an updated menu.
Jiko joined forces with new Pastry Chef Michael Craig and recently added Chef Daniel Sicilia at this Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort restaurant. The updated menu includes Durham Ranch elk loin, Mrouzia-style lamb tagine, rotating seasonal sides and more.
New desserts include Kilimanjaro, sweet potato cheesecake, strawberry shortcake with local berries and more.
Also an amazing fact about Jiko is they have the largest showcase of South African wines in the U.S. with more than 125 wines in the collection.
Jiko’s new menu and desserts will continue to go with the African theme. Jiko also features decorations inspired by The Lion King.
