This Week’s Featured Story:
World of Disney Expansion Now Open at Disney Springs.
Disney Springs continues to grow and part of that expansion includes a 6,000-foot increase at World of Disney. The World of Disney now has wider aisles, centralized checkout, three additional rooms, new displays and ceiling murals and a fresh new look.
Here is some more news out of Disney Springs this week:
- Disney Springs is now on Instagram. Follow the official Disney Springs account with @DisneySprings. Share photos with #DisneySprings for a chance to have your photo featured.
- A whole new experience for Walt Disney World Resort guests debuts December 15 at Disney Springs – the Ganachery, which will showcase hand-crafted chocolate! Disney Pastry Chef Stefan Riemer has spent the last couple of years on an international quest for the world’s best chocolate for this stylish new boutique. The trend in the United States is dark chocolate, and the Ganachery uses a bold, 65 percent dark chocolate made with a touch of vanilla. The shop offers both milk and dark so that there is something for everyone. Even the boxes will be a work of art – big flavors wrapped in tiny, beautiful boxes are a lovely souvenir. To add an element of delicious whimsy, nine varieties of custom-made chocolate bars (not made in house) celebrate Disney’s iconic destinations and the “Fab Five” (Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck). The Aulani bar is white chocolate with pineapple and coconut; the Disneyland Paris bar is dark chocolate with liquid caramel and fleur de sel; the Disneyland Resort bar is milk chocolate with raisins and almonds (an ode to California’s top crops); the Minnie bar is milk chocolate with dried strawberries.
- Nov. 28 – 29: Look for new releases from Disney Traditions artist Jim Shore, who will appear Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Heritage Manor in Epcot and Nov. 29 from 10a.m. – 1p.m. at Art of Disney in Disney Springs Marketplace.
