Did you know that you can dye Easter Eggs with Kool-Aid? That is what I am doing this year. I’ve found that the egg dying kits just don’t give bright, thick colors and they are really a waste of money. So this year, I spent $0.80 on 4 Kool-Aid packets (you don’t even need vinegar when you use Kool-Aid) and that is how we will make our eggs instead.
And don’t worry, the Kool-Aid doesn’t affect the taste of the hard boiled egg.
Be sure to check out Hey! Jen Renee for all the details on how to do this.

We’re going to have to try this. I already have a bunch of Kool-Aid paks in the cabinet.
We did this Sunday. It turned out great and smelled 1000 times better than the old way.
Didn’t even think of the smell, good point! :)
Thanks for the new idea!
That is an awesome idea. I’ll have to try it this year
Pretty! Those colors are great.
this sounds great and I want to try, but I just add the koolaid to a cup of water then dip egg and that’s it.
Aww Man! I just threw out all my Kool-Aid cause I don’t let DD drink it and I figured it didn’t need to take up space in the drawer. I’ll be watching for a great sale and try this next year!
Darn! :(
thanks for this tip. we already colored eggs, but we will definitely try this one next time!
Wow what a great idea!!
