When a recipe calls for lemon juice, or if you are making lemonade, there is a way to get more juice from your lemons than just slicing it open and hoping all the juice comes out when you squeeze it. There are 2 different ways to get more juice. The first way is to pop the whole lemon in the microwave for 10 seconds. The heat from the microwave gets the juices flowing so when you slice it open, more will come out. The other way is to roll the whole lemon with the palm of your hand on a flat surface for about 10-15 seconds. Don’t push down too hard, but you do want to have some pressure on it. This squeezes out the juice from the fruit on the inside and in turn, more will come out when you cut it open.
