i’ve been couponing since last summer. i’ve been able to get free stuff, cheap stuff, and a few “money makers”… but i can see how applying your idea of having a goal for my savings can help me reach a major goal i have.

i think i just might apply this concept to “couponing to a downpayment”. we’re looking to relocate in a couple of years. this can be the way that we buy our dream home!

thank you for sharing! i’m going to have to put some kind of plan together to keep me motivated for such a large goal… off to work, i go ;)

Couponing to pay off your mortgage is a great idea. :) Just make sure you make small goals, other wise it can get frustrating. :)

We have our first family Disney trip planned in 2011, I plan to pay for the trip in full when we get our taxes done, I got the Disney Dining plan so our meals are included (somewhat). And I have a disney rewards visa from chase with $117 points on it as of today. I don’t plan to get anymore. I have already bought souviners from Disneystore.com so that will be taken care of for the most part. I plan that my daughter will do Bippidi Boppidi Boutique and my son is going to get his first hair cut at the Harmony Barber Shop!!

I have this week started couponing, I wouldn’t say that my first trip was a huge success, because I sepnt $77 and saved $33, still money saved is a good thing. I used to put all of our change in my daughter and son’s piggy banks and once a year I would deposit it into their savings account but this month we added another piggy bank to the mix, and that is our Disney piggy bank. So not all change will go towards it but some will. I am trying to get together baby stuff and sale it also to go towards our trip. This website has encouraged me in many ways to not eat out and lose weight!! Thank you so much for all your advise and input!!

i agree with you about toluna surveys, 60,000 points is very hard to reach. as soon as i see an offer posted for the high value ones, i try to take it and then im told it is already closed. i never seem to qualify for the high value ones.
love your blog.

Thanks for all the great tips! I went on my first shopping trip with coupons today. I stocked up on coupons for around a month and then I went to Target today. I got about $50 worth of things for only $9 and some change. I got two packs of huggies diapers, and pack of wipes, a bottle of nivea for men, a bottle of vaseline lotion for men, travel size degree for men deodorant, travel size axe body wash, travel size dove body wash, baby socks, and a pack of gum. I’m very proud of myself!

Several days ago you had a link on your site for templates to be used for an autograph book. My daughter showed it to me, but I forgot to mark the site and I would really like to contact the person who posted that information. Could you help with this question. Thanks!

There are certainly lots of details like that to take into consideration. That may be a great point to convey up. I provide the thoughts above as common inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you bring up the place an important thing might be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around issues like that, but I’m positive that your job is clearly identified as a good game. This site is amazing. I recently became unemployed and therefore needed a few ways to save money. I have always been a savvy shopper, but have never seen the point in using coupons, until today. I began following your site two weeks ago and am very proud to say that I saved 56% of my grocery bill by using coupons. I was shocked! Thank you so much for everything!

I just wanted to share an exciting reward gift card option I found at Sam’s Club.
We are going to Disney in September 2011 and I am always on the lookout to find the best deals for my money.
I was shopping at Sam’s club and found on the Gift Card display a $100.00 Disney Spending Gift card for $98. It included a $10 DisneyStore gift card as a bonus. That is $110 for $98. I spoke with the people at Disney and found out that you can make payments on your Disney vacation with Disney Gift Cards. So…I took my savings that I was going to use to pay off my trip and bought $2800.00 worth of gift cards for $2744 (a savings of $58) and used the gift cards to pay off my vacation balance. That left me with $280 in FREE DisneyStore Gift Cards that I can use at the Downtown Disney Disneystore to buy all my souvenirs. ( these cards can only be used at the DisneyStore or Disneystore.com). This made my husband very happy because now I can buy what I want at the Disneystore and we don’t have to worry about paying it off later! Makes for a much more enjoyable vacation.
Make sure to call your local Sam’s club first, because not all of them carried the cards. It was a holiday promotion and some of the Sam’s are sold out.
Hope this helps!

Make a long story short I have advantage to go to Disney World it will only cost
Total of $138.00 visit 4 parks ….I can get in 4 parks at the price of $138.00
If I want to go to waterparks , that will be an extra 20.00 or less added on to the
$138.00 ………….If you’ve family members who’s in the military , this is another
way to go at a cheaper price but that military family has to go with you .
Plus he/she can get you into hotels in park ( 20% – 40% off the regular price )

Keep in mind , if you don’t have military family member , then start saving $$$$$
now for next year , I mean as much as you can save . It’s NOT cheap but you
could get discounts with alittle research . WDW has discounts too when you call
them .
Happy Saving !!!!!!!!!

I think this is a great idea. There are a lot of helpful tools on here that I know I can use.
We go to Disney every year for my daughter’s birthday. I was starting to think we wouldn’t be able to this year.
After reading this I think I could get on track and start saving more than I am. It is just the two of us and that makes it harder to save. I will have to see how this works.

ok, I have a list of online coupon sites, my problem with that is most of them all bring you back to the same coupon page. So even though you might have 10 sites and you click on get coupons your going back to the same page you were at with another coupon site, so why have 10 different sites rather than one?
