Disney World introduced a whole new way to order from select Quick Service restaurants, with the introduction of Mobile Ordering. Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom was the first to announce mobile ordering, which will begin on May 27, 2017 when Pandora opened. Mobile Ordering allows guests to order and pre-pay for their food at select participating restaurants.
How To Use:
Download the free My Disney Experience app, which has many useful tools and features, read the My Disney Experience App Guide. Access mobile ordering on the app by tapping character head and under “My Plans” tap Order Food. Then a list of participating restaurants will be displayed. Select your restaurant, tap Order Food and a list of menu items and prices are shown, select your choices. When you arrive at the restaurant, tap the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button. When your food is ready to be picked up the app will alert you, then head to the “Mobile Order Pick Up” sign (note your mobile order for pick up).
Why Guests Must Use:
Pack your patience for Disney World, even with the best laid out plans guests will still encounter lines. Such as, when entering parks, buying merchandise, waiting for transportation, attractions (consider attractions with fun queue’s to make the waiting more pleasant) and food.
However, guests can skip the line on select Quick Service restaurants at Disney World with Mobile Ordering. The biggest reason to use is the time saved waiting. Plus, an added advantage of being able to per-order from anywhere – even in another line.
Especially during peak travel times (such as school vacations) Mobile Ordering can be a huge time saver. Order ahead of time, and pick up whenever you are ready, even hours later. Meaning, guests can get in line for an attraction, discuss, plan and pre-pay for their next meal all while waiting. The convenience of this is another must try reason.
Another must use reason is since Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom is a participating restaurant, guests can now pre-order their Dole Whips.
