If you are a SavEar, the big news this week was the Best Buy Laptop Trade-In. A wonderful member of the Facebook group commented on a deal she got at Best Buy: trade in your laptop for $75 minimum, and then buy Disney gift cards with the trade in money. The deal has since ended and not everyone got the $75 advertised (darn you, fine print!), but any money from something that was just sitting in your garage is still a win. A great, easy way to add to your fund.
The moral of this story is: join the SavEars! Not only are you getting deals from the blog, you’re getting on the ground deals that the SavEars are sharing with each other.
As for me, I managed to eke a little out of my ancient laptop. I got $29.25, which I turned into a $25 Disney gift card. Also, now I have a $4.25 Best Buy gift card. Two gift cards for the price of one dusty laptop! I’m not sure what I’m going to do with that $4.25, but hey, you never know what tomorrow brings, so into the fund it goes!
