You can Make A Pillowcase Autograph Book For Your Next Disney Trip . On our last trip to Walt Disney World, we decided to do something different for autographs. We had the characters autograph our pillowcase instead of a traditional autograph book. The characters got so excited to know that their autographs would be permanently displayed in the kids’ rooms.
If you want to make your own autograph pillowcase, just head to Walmart and grab plain white pillowcases, fabric markers (found in the craft department) and a couple clipboards (you definitely want one for each kid; it was very stressful trying to share one clipboard with 2 kids). When you get in line to meet a character, go ahead and put the clipboard inside the pillowcase and pull it tight to make a smooth writing surface for the characters. Try to keep all the autographs on one side of the pillowcase to make displaying easier.

I have never done this. I do a sketchbook so I can have the photo with the auto. Cool idea though.

Micheal’s has these great photo mats with a marker, That has a wide border for people to sign. If you use a coupon they are under $10.00. We are planning on using them to have characters sign on our cruise in October. A picture of mickey and my son is going to look awesome in a frame with the autographed mat.

Awesome. Can’t wait to do this when we go this summer

I bought autograph mickey’s after graduation for 75 off last year in anticipation of our next Disney trip, but then I wondered if they characters would be able ame willing to sign them…!? I love the pillow case idea! My oldest had Disney princesses sign her Disney princess baseball hat many years ago!

We do this as well except I use a cross-stitching hoop instead of a clipboard. As to someone asking about the markers, you have to use fabric markers and then iron over them to heat set the ink. It will not fade or bleed then. We used permanent markers the 1st time and they faded & the ink bled — do not use sharpies….ONLY FABRIC MARKERS.

Thanks. I was looking for that info.

That’s a great idea. My husband and I go every year, but can’t take the grandkids for a few years yet, this would be a great gift to get for them the next time I go.
Keshia says
I know this may be a dumb question but you never know with markers..will the signatures wash out or fade when using fabric makers?
Kate says
Keshia,
I think with this you might want to just display it (throw pillow) vs. using it. We are going to do something similar in September/October when we go with our 3 kiddo’s

We did this when we went on the Disney Dream. I framed the pillowcase.

We did this last September. Our kids LOVE them! We used the mini clipboards and they worked great!! We plan on doing it again this coming September!

Did you slip the clip board inside the pillowcase? How did you keep the material from moving? Thank you in advance

We bought a t-shirt that says I’m 2 on it since we were there for his second birthday and had the characters sign it……memories :*)
