What is a magical moment at Disney World? It is a moment in time that will be cherished forever. Guests who over plan their Disney vacation, constantly on the go, may miss these precious moments. It is important at Disney to plan no plan times (seems contradictive), however by having time to simply just be is most likely when these magic moments at Disney occur. You never know the memory that will stick with your child for a lifetime, and it could be something simple you never thought of.
1. Unexpected Fastpass+
My family and I were in the hub on Main St USA, Magic Kingdom when we decided to stop and ask a Cast member to take our pictures. It wasn’t crowded at all so we took a few extra minutes to simply chat with the Cast Member. At the end of our interaction, she said, “Have you seen Tinkerbell yet?”. My girls replied, “No”, and she handed us Fastpasses to meet & greet with Tinkerbell! If we had been in a rush to grab our photos and go, this wouldn’t have happened.
2. Small Moments
This was the wall Disney put up prior to Toy Story Land opening in Hollywood Studios. My youngest princess spent 15 minutes going from Character to Character along the wall, mimicking their poses. She had just as much fun doing this as riding Dumbo!
3. Impromptu Moments
My oldest princess was so fascinated with the Payphones at Disney, we had to stop for a picture. Look at her smile as she pretends to answer the phone. You never know what will catch your child’s eye, take a few moments to stop and allow them to satisfy their curiosity. Who would think something as simple as a payphone would bring such a smile?!
4. Spontaneous Moments With Characters
There is something about Disney magic, that children of all ages enjoy (even us big kids). Pictured above is my teenage step-son, when Goofy asks you to pose like him, you listen! This was such a fun moment and is a treasured picture.
5. Dancing In The Rain
It may rain on your parade at Disney, while most guests were running for cover, my daughter took the opportunity to dance in the rain. We were already wet, so why not jump in a puddle or two?! If you do find yourself at Magic Kingdom in the rain, check out the Rainy Day Cavalcade.
6. Disney Animals
There are many attractions to encounter Animals at Disney World. However, the unexpected animal encounters can turn into a magical moment. The wonder and surprise on my daughter’s face is apparent. My daughters also squealed in delight when we saw the real life “Thumper” hop by our pathway at Port Orleans Riverside.
