Souvenirs can quickly eat up your carefully crafted Walt Disney World budget. Planning ahead of time will help you to stretch your dollars further. Here are 4 terrific tips for saving on souvenirs at Walt Disney World:
Shop off-site – Walmart and Target near Walt Disney World carry a large selection of souvenirs. You can also venture over to the Disney Premium Outlet to find park souvenirs at a deep discount.
Ask for eligible discounts – If you have an Annual Pass or a Chase Disney Visa, you qualify for a discount at most gift shops. Make sure you ask when you go to pay. The Disney Visa usually requires you to spend a minimum amount but the Annual Pass does not.
Window shop – Don’t allow yourself to purchase the first souvenir you see. Spend a few days browsing the shops and debating on what would be the best choice. Towards the end of your vacation, pick up those souvenirs that you have decided you can’t live without.
Return/Replace broken items – Disney is great about replacing an item that has not lasted the length of your vacation. If you buy anything that doesn’t meet expectations, don’t be afraid to ask a Cast Member at the closest gift shop to help.
