I did so much better in January then I thought I did! I don’t know if its the added pressure to earn Swagbucks from the challenge, or if its just a stroke of luck. This weekend when I sat down to figure out how much I earned verses how much I spent on SB deals in January, I was expecting to have earned $100.00 or less. Seeing as January is historically horrible for earning SB.
After the costs of deals I earned a whopping $169.00 with Swagbucks in January! That is my net profit after deals I did that cost money. If you aren’t doing the moneymaking deals you are truly missing out on EASY money for your Disney fund. I know a lot of people think its crazy to spend money when you are trying to save it. I view it as an investment! There isn’t any other place I can double or triple on my money. I never use my own money for these deals unless its something I would of purchased anyway (such as food). The majority of the time I use my SB earnings to roll back into the deals. Costing me $0.00 out of pocket.
For this challenge, I really wanted to be accountable to all my readers. That is why I am going to be showing you all my monthly Paypal ledger views. In the past, I would cash out for Amazon mainly and just replace the money I spent at Amazon with cash for my Disney fund. Towards the end of last year I decided just to keep most of the Disney fund in Paypal until I was ready to use it. Except for my first gift card of the month. I will continue to get either Amazon or Walmart for the 12% discount. I’m just cutting out the middle man so to say!
I did have some oppsies last month! I got charged for EPIC. I knew I cancelled it. I am methodical about tracking deals and days I need to cancel by. I searched my email and sure enough I did cancel it. I contacted EPIC customer support and provided proof of the cancellation email. I was refunded the $7.99 that is why I didn’t include it in my deductions. I did forget to cancel my Disney Movie Club offer. That is what the $32.99 charge is for. Last month was for Frozen, we already own Frozen. I sent it back and already received my refund. Hulu is linked to my Paypal. When purchasing my Disney gift cards I just added $7.00 to cover the cost.
January 2018 Disney fund breakdown:
I did use $66.00 towards SB deals that earned me SB. If you deduct the amount I spent on deals my net Disney fund income from SB was $169.00! With Ibotta that gave me $191.34. I added in the additional $8.66 to cover the cost of another $50.00 Disney gift card.
Last month was a really good month! My personal goal for February is $125.00. I like to set realistic goals that push me but are achievable. If you aren’t already do the same! Your goals don’t have to be the same as mine. They might be less or more and that is okay. Its all about giving yourself something to work towards. Don’t forget to take in consideration your own personal situation. For example, if you are a SAHM mom of 2 children under 4 you might not be able to earn as much as another Savear that is a SAHM of 2 school aged children. Even if you only are able to earn $5.00 this month with Swagbucks. That is fabulous! It’s $5.00 you didn’t have towards your dreams.
