A Disney Cruise is an amazing experience, however one that is much different than Disney World. For guests that have not boarded a Cruise may feel overwhelmed. However, by using these 20 secret tips, guests can be in the know for their next or first Disney Cruise!
- Free Room service 24/7, try the buffalo wings or cake of the day, and so much more included for free.
- Complimentary soda, tea and coffee on deck and in the dining rooms.
- Ask if you can get a Mickey wake up call.
- Think plain white sheets are boring? Ask if they have any character sheets available and you may just get Frozen or Cars (if they can accommodate).
- Pack an insulated cup for soda and cups with lids for children. Do note, filling personal cups at soda stations is against policy (for sanitary reasons), however use their cups to get your drink and then pour into personal cup.
- If your cruise stops at Castaway Cay, mail out a postcard from the Castaway Cay Post Office. Or for something fun consider mailing a “Message in a Bottle”. Cash only for postage.
- Food at Castaway Cay is included in your ship fee and free for passengers.
- Sign up for the 50MB of internet, which is only available your first day to sign up. Instructions can be found in desk drawer.
- Download the Disney Cruise App before your trip. New feature, text others in your group onboard.
- Kids may order off the adult menu and adults may order of the children’s menu.
- Mickey Bars from room service are FREE.
- Guests aged 21+ may bring their own alcohol on board (maximum of 2 unopened wine/champagne no larger than 750ml or 6 beers no larger than 12 ounce), prior to voyage at each port of call. Alcohol must be in carry-on luggage (not checked bags).
- Guests who choose to indulge the wine or champagne bottles at one of the dining rooms will be charge a $25 corking fee per bottle (even if opened yourself).
- Make your own coke floats, get your soda from the machine then add some ice cream to it (free).
- On rainy days, Disney Cruises will often offer more indoor activities and Character experiences.
- If your child looses a tooth while on ship, alert a crew member, and your little one may just get a surprise.
- Consider a Placeholder le on current cruise (if you plan to cruise again within 24 months of booked date), and enjoy perks such as: 10% fair discount, reduced deposit and a shipboard credit.
- Indulge in a Rainforest Pass at the Senses Spa, grab them early (first day) of cruise as they do sell out. The Rainforest room is available on all Disney Cruises, however not widely advertised. Enjoy tropical rain showers, sauna, Jacuzzi’s and more.
- Try the Mixology class (for those 21+) and get a mini-hands on bartender class which includes trying your creations.
- Look for the Pèpe the King Prawn’s Stateroom 5148 ½ (aboard Dream & Fantasy), which is a small stateroom door for the Muppets Character, even find a phone number to call and listen to a recording from the Character.

The ice cream float idea is great but you do not need to buy ice cream, soft serve is free as well. ☺️
