If you are only going to Walt Disney World for 2 days, you’ve got to consider what you want to trim from your itinerary. Unfortunately there is no way that you can see and do it all! But you can still have a great time.
1. Visit 1-2 Theme Parks – Focus your 2 day trip on just 1-2 of the theme parks. You could spend the entire trip in Magic Kingdom and have plenty to do! If you want to tackle 2 parks, you’ve got to decide which one you want to visit the most.
Animal Kingdom – Here you can ride Expedition Everest, DINOSAUR, Primeval Whirl and Kali River Rapids. You can also go on the Kilimanjaro Safari and see animals out on the savanna. It is a great choice if you love animals and the zoo back home (although it really doesn’t even compare).
Epcot – Here you can ride Test Track, Soarin’, Mission Space and Frozen Ever After. You can also tour 11 countries from around the world and learn a lot about culture and food.
Hollywood Studios – Here you can ride Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, Rock ‘N Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and Star Tours. Great choice if you love Star Wars and if you have a young child who loves Disney Junior.
2. Stay on property – Don’t waste your time staying offsite. By staying at one of Disney’s resorts, you’ll get front of the park transportation, access to Extra Magic Hours and you won’t have to fight the traffic around I4.
3. Skip Table Service Meals – Unless there is a place where you really, really, really want to dine, skip Table Service Meals on your trip. They take 1-3 hours to complete and that is a lot of valuable park time you will lose.
4. Get to the parks early and stay late – You can ride the most attractions in the first hour the park is open and the last hour. If you need to, take a break in the middle of the day back at your resort. Otherwise plan some low key attractions and shows for 2-3 hours in the afternoon to kind of relax and unwind.
5. Utilize Fastpass+ – Make the most of your day by taking full advantage of Fastpass+. Book your first 3 for 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30. As soon as you use that last one (I am talking as soon as you scan your band to enter the queue), use the MyDisneyExperience app to add another Fastpass+. Repeat every time you use the next Fastpass.
I hope you have a fabulous time! Let me know if I can help you at all.
