Disney’s Quick Service restaurants are more than just “fast food”. They are full of yummy foods, hidden, gems, and some of the best food on Walt Disney World property. Quick Service allows you to enjoy a good meal, in a timely fashion, so you can get back into the parks and enjoy your favorite attractions. I took to the Couponing to Disney Facebook Groups to gather part of my list of the 10 Foods to Try at Disney’s Quick Service Restaurants, and I am also sharing some of my personal favorites.
Ham and Apple Sandwich at Kringla Bakeri in Norway at Epcot’s World Showcase~This yummy sandwich is full of authentic Norwegian flavors, and makes a great lunch on the Quick Service Dining Plan. It is composed of ham, apples, Jarlsberg and Muenster cheeses, and is served toasted on a multigrain bread. They also add a sweet apple chutney to the sandwich to finish it off. So good!
Beef Nachos at Pecos Bill’s Tall Tales in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom~ This dish is a huge bang for your buck…..or your Quick Service Dining credits. First of all, the Beef Nachos are a good size portion and are easy to share. Second, the toppings bar at Pecos Bill’s is fabulous. You can put so many goodies on your nachos…..cheeses, lettuce, salsas, mushrooms, etc. This will give you more to share and you can stretch your dollar or your dining credits.
Flatbreads at Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom~Of the flatbreads here, my favorite is the Caprese Flatbread. However, if you enjoy pepperoni, you also have that as an option. Pair a flatbread with a side salad, and you have a light yet filling meal for either lunch or dinner. We find ourselves at Pinnochio Village Haus multiple times on our Disney vacations! The atmosphere is great, and our service is always stellar. The flatbreads are a favorite of everyone in our family!
Footlong Hot Dogs at Casey’s Corner at Magic Kingdom~With so many options for topping a foot long hot dog, you can really enjoy a filling meal on Main Street USA. Casey’s Corner is famous for their foot longs, and for good reason. All of their foot longs are served with apple slices and French fries. You can easily share a meal here, as well, and save some room for dessert later!
Fish and Chips at Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the United Kingdom at Epcot’s World Showcase~This is an entree served with two pieces of fish and chips. It is easily shared, but if you don’t want to share it, it’s okay! For the yummy food you get, it is well worth the price, or the Quick Service Dining entitlements.
Pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs~There is NOTHING at Wolfgang Puck Express that I don’t recommend. It is all amazing! However, the pizzas are my favorite! They are wood fired, and oh so good! My personal favorite is a toss up between the Classic Margherita and the Barbecued Chicken. I also love the atmosphere of Wolfgang’s. It has a table service feel, with a Quick Service price. Once you order, they will bring your food to your table, and continue to check on you while you eat. So nice!
Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich at Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs~Like Wolfgang Puck Express, it’s hard to choose the best food from Earl of Sandwich. Everything is SO good. My highest recommendation, though, is the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich. I love it, because it is an easily shareable meal. Also, it has a unique flavor to it. When you are eating Quick Service, sometimes the challenge can be getting good variety in your meals. By visiting Earl of Sandwich, you can easily work some variety into your meals! They have so many sandwiches and soups, perfect for every palate!
Fruit and Nutella Waffle at Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom~Although Sleepy Hollow is not part of the Quick Service Dining Plan, it is still a quick service restaurant and has the yummiest treat of all. Here you will find the Fruit and Nutella Waffle. This thing is huge, and I don’t mind paying out of pocket for it. Not only is it SO good, but it is easily sharable amongst myself and two of my children. I like mine with blueberries and strawberries, and it is perfect to eat while waiting for the parade!
Citrus Swirl at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom~Again, this location does not participate in the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan. However, it is still worth a visit! The Citrus Swirl is an orange slushy, mixed with vanilla ice cream. Although it is not as famous as the Dole Whip, it is a good alternative. For those of us who want a sweet ice cream treat, but don’t care for the pineapple flavor in the Dole Whip, this is a great alternative!
No Way Jose at Beaches and Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort~Beaches and Cream is Table Service as a restaurant. However, there is also a walk up area, with a separate entrance, where you can order sweet treats to go. My absolute favorite, and I am not ashamed I can eat the whole thing myself, is the No Way Jose. It’s peanut butter, hot fudge, ice cream, topped with chocolate chips and whip cream. Take it to go, and enjoy a walk around the Boardwalk!
That about sums it up! The 10 snacks, sweets, and entrees to try at Disney’s Quick Service restaurants! What are you looking forward to trying on your next Disney trip?
