Cast Members work hard on and behind the scenes to make sure your Disney Vacation is magical. From resorts to restaurants and rides, a cast member is there to help. Some positions are acceptable to tip, while other cast members are in non-tipped positions. Learn more about tipping etiquette at Disney World.
For those non-tipped positions, often cast members can not accept anything of value (money, gift card etc.). However, small tokens of appreciation are truly appreciated by Cast Members. Carry some of these around your next trip and help give a Cast Member a magical moment after they have done an exceptional job. Do note, sometimes you will have to offer 3 times before they can accept.

Hi! As a former cast member, these small gifts go a long way. There were weeks I worked 10-hour shifts 10 days in a row in the Florida summer heat. It is exhausting and not every day feels magical at work. However, the guests give cast members the energy to create magic! I received an Airel sticker from a little girl one day during a long shift. She said, “Thank you for making magic!” My heart exploded at her kind gesture, and I have the sticker to this day.
Little notes of encouragement, stickers, candy, etc., can go a long way! It is a way for guests to make magic for cast members who are constantly making magic for them!
One year my daughter gave out individually wrapped mini candy canes. She was heartbroken when the first several cast members told her “no thank you” so I didn’t let her give out any more.
Can you give a gift to any cast member that dress up as a character such as Snow White?
Thanks for this post. On our last visit to WDW, I stopped at City Hall in MK and was able to fill out a Thank You form for 2 Cast Members that had been extra helpful to us, including one that worked at The Polynesian. Apparently as long as you have the CM’s name & location (or ride they were stationed at), the Thank You will get to them.
