I recently stayed at Disney’s All Star Movies for the first time. I was not disappointed, this Value Resort gets an A in my book. Here are my 20 Reasons To Love Disney’s All Star Movies Resort!
1. Waiting Area
If you need to check-in, or stop by the front desk for any reason, let your children sit in the fun waiting area. There are 2 rows of seating facing a TV, that plays Disney movies to entertain!
2. Theming
All Star Movies is made up of different sections, themed after beloved Disney/Pixar Movies. Theming includes: 101 Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks, Fantasia, Love Bug and Toy Story.
3. Clean Rooms
My standard room was in pristine condition, no complaints here.
4. The Essentials
Inside your room, find many essentials needed for your stay. This includes an iron & ironing board, hairdryer, tissues, soap, shampoo & conditioner. The only things I truly needed was a toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant!
5. Artwork
I loved the artwork displayed above the bed, showcasing Minnie, Mickey and Donald Duck.
6. Fun 101 Dalmatians Photo Op
Be the star of your own TV show with this fun photo op found in the courtyard of the 101 Dalmatians area.
7. Sunrise Yoga
Offered select mornings is Sunrise Yoga. Start your Disney Day with a complimentary yoga session!
8. Larger Than Life Theming
Above, see a larger than life mask from The Mighty Ducks section, easily walk under – that’s how big it is! Each section has its own larger than life objects.
9. Vegan Fudge Brownie Cookie Dough
Who says you can’t eat cookie dough? Not All Star Movies resort! Look for Vegan Fudge Brownie Cookie Dough in the refrigerated section of the food court.
10. Soft-Serve Pineapple Ice Cream
Need your pineapple soft-serve fix at Disney? Guests of this resort can find a Soft-Serve ice cream machine at the food court! Choose from pineapple, vanilla or chocolate.
11. Running Trail
There is a running trail marked out for guests looking to get a jog or run in. This trail is one mile long.
12. Reel Fun Arcade
Guests can head to the Reel Fun Arcade, purchase a game card, and play classic and new arcade games. Even better, this arcade is open 24 hours a day! Can’t sleep? Head to the arcade.
13. Added Entertainment
At the pool guests can participate in free pool side games and trivia. Also look for more added entertainment, some do have a cost associated such as Mickey Tie-Dye T-Shirts!
14. Fantasia Pool
The main pool at Disney’s All Star Movies is themed after Fantasia. Sorcerer Mickey is my favorite Mickey so I love this theming!
15. Free Movies
Each evening, look to see what Free Movie is playing in The Reel Spot! Sometimes there is even a double feature.
16. The Reel Spot
As mentioned guests can watch complimentary movies at The Reel Spot. The great thing about this is event is rain or shine, since area is covered!
17. Caricatures
On site, guests can have a caricature done of themselves or their whole group! This does come at an additional cost, however makes a great souvenir.
18. Favorite Movie Scenes
Lining the hallway of the main building are favorite movie scenes represented. Above, see a scene from Wizard of Oz.
19. Splash Area
Young children will love the splash area made just for them. This area includes a kiddie pool and water play area, near the main pool.
20. Andy’s Room
My favorite themed area was Andy’s Room in the Toy Story Section. Here step through the larger than life doorway to Andy’s Room!
Complete with a KEEP OUT sign on the door!
