Do you save the Shampoo, Conditioner and Soap from your Walt Disney Resort rooms? I suggest bringing your own travel sized shampoo & conditioners from home to use on your vacation. Then, take the Disney ones to use at home to relive some Disney Magic.
These little travel sized goodies are replenished each day you request MouseKeeping. However, to have them replenished there must not be any unused ones out (therefore, each day pack away those goodies to get more). This little trick is how guests come home with many unused travel soaps, shampoo & conditioner from Disney.
These make great gifts, display in a gift basket, for your Disney obsessed friends and family as well.

I do! Last time I left a note one of the days asking if I could have some extras – the mousekeeper actually set up a scavenger hunt around our room looking for them – it was super cute and a ton of fun! I ended up with 2 quart sized bags (bursting) of the shampoo (stayed value so no conditioner)
and I ended up with a gallon bag of soaps.
I keep the Disney stuff for me, but I am always taking and asking for extras and putting baggies together (1 baggies per hotel room night – that way they get everything) and donating to our local food bank because they can’t spend money on non-food items and they are always in need of the basic personal items.

I do this whenever I travel. My Mom lives in a low income place and saving these for her saves money on her monthly expenses. I will definitely be stowing some away on our next trip and refilling the bottle for my own travels!

I usually stash them in my suitcase and use soaps and shampoos I bring from home. I keep a few ffor my family and give the others as little gifts for friends and extend family.

I am sure any hotel has the toiletry price included in the nightly price because 99% of all people love to take those things home. I do too. Who can resists? ;)

I have a basket full of them in my spare bath – all Mickey. They are from our honeymoon 16 yrs ago. Designs have changed a bunch since then, but with the black, red, yellow and white on them, they stay there.
I also take them daily for a homeless ministry. The homeless are not big fans of sharing (understandably), so the hotel-sized toiletries are perfect! I ask everyone I know to pass them along each time they stay in a hotel!

I love the Toiletries at WDW. They smell like Disney. A bit of vacation at home.

I save those little soaps and shampoos all the time. I have a large bag filled with them. When an organization is collecting items for the troops in Iraq, I give some of them to the organization. They will be great to send to the disaster relief fund for the residents of Joplin, MO. also.
George says
I see nothing wrong with taking the soaps and shampoos in your room as these are calculated into the cost of your stay when WDW sets the price. I do think a line is crossed though when you ask for more (“If I happen to run into a Room Attendant I will also ask for a few more.”) even though you’re not actually using the products while at WDW.

I love the shampoos and soaps from Disney Resorts. They are made by the company H20 – nice quality products! Reminds me of Disney every time I use them.

You are not the only one. I do the exact same thing. I take all the little goodies and put them in my suit case too. When they restock I repeat this each day of our stay. Those are my little treasures from our stays at Disneyland or Disney World.
I also keep the pens, postcards and stationery too. Hi, I’m Denise and I’m a Disney hoarder. :)

I wrote a blog post about using these items when I go camping:

Grisel says
I love taking these home!! I have a small stash from the last 2 trips I’ve taken. Each time I go anywhere for a weekend trip, I say I’m going to use them but then I feel bad wasting them—especially the soap! My daughter found my stash & took one of the soaps to have as her own bath soap, LOL!

I save mine too- adds a little Disney to my everyday.

You are definetly not the only one who hoards the little shampoos. I also do. And I do exactally the same thing I take them each day, and use my own, cause they replace them each day. The soaps and the shampoos, also the lotions. I use them later at home sometimes, usually I just keep them stashed away lol. But whenever I use them at home the smell of the shampoo reminds me of disney. I like to collect the pens in the room also.
Jill says
I do pack them away also and use them in my bathroom when I get home since my house is discretely decorated entirely in Mickey Mouse. (My bathroom, however, is blatantly Mickey)

My husband travels almost weekly for work and he brings home TONS of toiletries. He takes his own! He also brings me the Business Class and First Class goodies!! We donate most of it!
Sue says
Yup, last week we were there and I stashed them everyday and got new ones the nexxt morning left for us! :) They are going to our church donation box. They collect travel size tolietries for the homeless.

I have lots of those freebies soaps and shampoos. And also a shower cap. I have years worth.

I try to collect there freebies every time I stay places-last hotel I asked if I could just have more, explained it was for folks in Alabama-that place hooked me up and we were able to get toiletries to folks who needed them!!!

I do like Tiffani and donate ours to an active child advocacy group.
Tiffani D. says
I don’t usually stash them each day, but sometimes I do to donate. Where we live there is an emergency children’s home that houses children who have just been removed from their homes before they go into foster care. They are always asking for hotel and sample sized donations of soap and shampoo. Since the children are with them for such a short time, these sizes are perfect for them. And maybe a little Mickey soap will brighten the day of a little one in a sad situation. :)

My mom and I save them and make gift baskets with them they’re great for grab gifts and raffle donations for schools!
