If you are tired of fighting the crowds to see Happily Ever After or want to just try something different, consider watch Wishes from the beach at Polynesian Resort. It is just a short Monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom (and yes, Disney allows guests that aren’t staying at the Polynesian to watch Wishes from the beach).
Disney pipes in the music from Wishes and there are a few chairs and swings right there on the beach. Plus you’ll be able to see the Electrical Water Pageant. You can even go to Capt. Cooks (located near the pool) and get a Dole Whip ice cream.

We are set to go to Disney in December and planned our Ohana reservation so we can watch the fireworks. We haven’t done Ohana yet so we are excited to get dinner and fireworks!

Thanks for this awesome tip! Won’t work to see that parade too, but we’ll have to try this on another night.

We have reservations at Ohana to coincide with Wishes on our upcoming trip – can’t wait! I’m really excited because my youngest LOVES fireworks but gets scared if we are too close and it’s too noisy – so it will be awesome to have a great view and be just a bit further away.

We watched wishes from the Polynesian beach after participating in the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. It was a really cool way to see the fireworks and would reccommend it as a way to avoid the crowds.

Last spring my family went and we went to Ohana for dinner and not only were we able to watch the Wishes show VERY clearly (could see Tinkerbell) but the restaurant also has it plugged where you can hear the music and narration as you would if you were at Cinderella’s castle. Very cool and it was only 1 meal ticket. Dinner and a show!!

We haven’t ever done this, but I plan to this year!

My kids loved that! We stay at Fort Wilderness Campground and watch it from the beach there! So cool!

Can you see Wishes from Fort Wilderness?
