California Adventure is a park all it’s own. It is a great place to go to get some different types of rides and attractions then what you get in Disneyland.
Bear Country is a very small land but it is one that kids can spend hours in. Here are the rides you have in Bear Country.
Grizzly River Run:
- This ride has fast passes and on hot days the go fast.
- You will get wet on this ride so it is best to ride it early or get a fast pass for early after noon so you have time to dry off before the chilly evenings come.
- There are lockers located by the bear statue if you have items you need to lock up items you don’t want getting wet.
- You must be 42″ (107 cm) to ride this ride.
- This is handicap accessible if you can transfer out of the wheelchair and into the boat for the ride.
- This ride has rider switch passes so you can take turns riding if you have children who can’t ride the ride.
- This ride goes fast at parts and there are a couple of bigger drops. My 5 Year old rode on it with no problems. But if there is someone badly afraid of heights or have bad motion sickness they may not like this ride.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail or “The Up Ride” (as my kids call it):
- This is kind of like a park. There are many things inside here to do including rocks to climb on, slides, and a tire zip line.
- This is for all ages, but little kids may have a hard time on lots of the parts of this area.
- Ask for a map on the way in and you will get to rub off badges as you finish the different parts of the camp. After you are done with the camp you head over to the camp fire (check the times on the map or ask an employee) and get the award for finishing all your badges.
- This area is somewhat handicap accessible but they don’t allow strollers in.
