Are you looking to take a day off of from the hustle and bustle of the parks at Walt Disney World? There are so many things to do at different resorts throughout Disney World that you could spend days just exploring the different resort activities. Let’s explore some of those activities today.
Pirate adventure Cruises take place at several different resorts at Disney World. It is for children ages 4-12. Children only board their pirate vessels and hear tales of pirates past and learn clues that might lead them to a treasure of their own. Reservations can be made by calling (407) 939-7529.
Tri-Circle-D-Ranch is located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. There is a lot to see for no additional charge. You can see Cinderella’s ponies, a blacksmith making horseshoes and more. For a fee there is even more to do. Horse drawn carriage rides and pony rides are just a few of the for fee things you can do while visiting the ranch. While you are the ranch you could also check out Chip N Dale’s Campfires Sing-A-long. Remember to bring your own Marshmallows and sticks or you will have to purchase a kit to join in on the fun. After you can settle in for a Disney movie under the stars.
Every Walt Disney World Resort has an arcade for some game playing fun. Game cards need to be purchased to play the arcade games. You can use your game card at any Walt Disney World resort location so if you want to explore other resorts arcades feel free. All arcades have age appropriate games for all ages.
There are a couple of locations you can rent bikes and take a leisurely ride around some different Disney World properties. Bike rentals are $18.00 per person and are on a first come first serve basis. Kids 16 and under will need to wear a helmet as per the law and they are complimentary with your bike rental. There are also complimentary child seats available.
Staying at your own resort and using the pool is still one of my family’s favorite things to do. My kids beg for it. There are always pool activities and games going on at the pool. During certain hours your daughter can get her hair braided for a fee and some locations have cast members who can do caricatures for a fee. Check at the front desk for other individual activities that you may have at your resort especially during holiday time.
