If you’re looking to add some extra Disney magic to your vacation without breaking the bank, here are 5 fun ways to spend (around) $30 at Disney World. While souvenirs and add-on experience at Disney are not necessary, they are fun additions to your vacation. These 5 ways to spend your vacation money are some of the best and most affordable.
1. A Fresh Pearl
Visit either the Epcot Pick A Pearl or Disney Springs Pick a Pearl for a memorable souvenir. For around $20 guests can pick an oyster and then keep the pearl inside. Some guests are so lucky to even get 2 pearls,”twins”, in one oyster. The one in the Japan Pavilion is pictured above and found in the large retail shop. Where as the Disney Springs location is a kiosk, located outside. Cages and jewelry sold separately (tip – purchase one on Etsy or Amazon prior to your trip).
2. Behind The Seeds Tour
Disney World offers various tours, giving guests behind the scenes looks. Behind The Seeds Tour takes guests inside The Land Pavilion in Epcot’s Future World. Cost is just $25 per person. Guests will get a behind the scenes, informational tour visiting greenhouses and a fish farm. Learn about growing techniques, see fish while they are feeding and more during this hour long, walking tour. For those who love the Living with the Land ride, this tour is a great extension. Keep in mind, valid park admission is also required.
3. Caring For Giants
Another affordable tour at Disney World is the Caring for Giants Tour at just $30 per person. This hour long tour takes place at Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom. Caring for Giants give guests an up close look at Animal Kingdom’s majestic African Elephants. Guests must be at least 4 years old to participate. Learn more about the care for these giant animals that call Animal Kingdom home and see them from 80-100 feet away viewing. Keep in mind, valid park admission is also required.
4. Mickey Ears
Now $27.99 (after a long-run at $24.99), this souvenir is a great way to spend just under $30 at Disney World. Purchase this souvenir early in your vacation to wear your entire stay. Mickey Ears and headbands can be found throughout shops at Disney World. Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom has various shops that sell them, another great option is to head to Disney Springs and visit World of Disney for a large selection of Disney headwear.
5. The Void
Guests can experience a hyper-reality world at Disney Springs. Choose from Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire by ILMxLAB and The VOID or Ralph Breaks VR at Disney Springs. Guests can go into the Star Wars univers or the gaming and internet world with Ralph & Vanellope. Guests must be at least 48″ tall and 10 years old for this separate ticketed experience. Cost is $32.95 per ticket. Past guests have said this experience was well worth the money.
