5 Pro Tips For Booking Your FastPass+ Selections At Walt Disney World:
1. Know the When
Guests of Walt Disney World resorts may book their Fastpass+ selections 60 days out. If you are not staying on property, your time window is 30 days out. Be ready at 7am EST to book your Fastpass+.
2. How Many?
To start, guests are allowed to book 3 Fastpass+ in advance per day (same park). Start booking them for 1-2 hours after you arrive at the park (If you plan to go early, don’t waste a Fastpass+ on early morning). Instead, get to the park early and head straight to 1 or 2 attractions, then use your 3 Fastpass+ experiences for when the Parks get busier (late morning/early afternoon).
3. Book More
Once you are in line for the last attraction, check out what other Fastpass+ options are open as you are now eligible to grab one at a time. However, only after the 3 are used, if you have any Fastpass+ booked later in the day it will tie up your ability to get more until this is used. Also know, you can change FastPass+/cancel at any time. This is easily done on the My Disney Experience App (or in park Kiosk).
4. Don’t Go In Order
Instead of starting with Fastpass+ for Day 1 of your vacation, work backwards. Start booking Fastpass+ for rides from last day to first day. Everyone traveling on your vacation date will also be looking at Fastpass+ selections for those days. Therefore, the back end of your vacation days will have less people looking. No matter how long your vacation is, the Fastpass+ selection goes by travel starting date.
5. Tiers
Know the Tiers, meaning you may not be able to snag Fastpass+ for every popular ride to start, but that is OK. Knowing the Tiers and how many are allowed from each one will help narrow choices. This applies to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios and Epcot which have Tier 1 and Tier 2.
