Summer 2017 is shaping up to be a great one! Moana gets a new location, Hollywood Studios is getting a new meet and greet, Frozen games are back at Blizzard Beach and more.
1. Hollywood Studios New Meet & Greet Summer 2017 + Moana’s New Spot
Also, Moana will be have a new location for her meet and greet in Adventureland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Moana is moving from her original location of One Man’s Dream at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
2. Copper Creek Villas & Cabins Coming Summer 2017
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins are coming to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge with an expected opening of July 17, 2017. This will be the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort and the second on Disney’s Wilderness Lodge property.
This will now make 3 resorts on property – Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (established 1994), Boulder Ridge Villas (DVC established 2000) and the newest DVC resort this summer, Copper Creek Villas & Cabins.
3. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Presents The Music of Pixar Live! Summer 2017
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be entertaining guests with a new concert event this summer. The Music of Pixar LIVE! A Symphony of Characters begins on May 26, 2017 and will be presented 3 times a night.
This concert will be held at Theater of the Stars following Beauty and the Beast. Guests can expect to hear songs from their favorite Pixar Movies such as Toy Story and The Incredibles. Experience a live orchestra and see some of your favorite Pixar-Disney Characters including Mike & Sully plus Jessie & Woody.
The Music of Pixar Live! will be presented for a limited time.
4. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Welcomes Back Frozen Summer Games
Olaf is always ready for summer, and Blizzard Beach is getting ready as well. Guests can soon enjoy ‘Frozen Summer Games’ at Disney’s Blizzard Beach. Returning from last year, the games begin on May 26, 2017.
Meet with Kristoff and Olaf, then choose which team you want to play for, Team Kristoff or Team Olaf. Guests can play an array of games such as Slide Races, Ice Pail Relays, a Snowball Toss and Ski Pole Limbo.
5. Cars 3 Being Released Summer 2017
Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) is #95 and watch him race again for, “One last chance”. Being faster is not his plan this time, but to be smarter instead.
