I am almost done packing! All I have left is the things we use daily. Those things will get packed tomorrow morning. Today was all about the toiletries, first aid kit, and double checking that everyone’s suitcase had what it needed. This is where taking notes on the packing list comes in handy. All I had to do was open each person’s suitcase and check the packing list. Then I added in whatever was missing, checked it off the list, and like magic was done with that.

For the first aid kit items I added them all into a clear bag. That way I can quickly see what is inside and it takes up less space than my box. Next up was the toiletries that is where my tips come into play.
5 Tips for packing toiletries:
- Take packaged things out of boxes. Boxes take up room. If you really wanted to save space you could also fill a reusable pill container with your medicines and vitamins.
- Put liquids, aerosols, pastes, and any thing that could potential leak or squirt out inside other bags. That way if something does leak out the mess will be contained inside the bag.
- Those free toothbrushes you get from the dentist office after a cleaning. Take them with you on your trips. If you don’t get free toothbrushes buy some cheap ones from the Dollar Store. Throw them away when you pack to come home. That way you don’t have to worry about leaving behind your pricey toothbrush. Plus you don’t have to buy a cover for it or try and figure out a way for nothing to touch the bristles.
- Clear bags are you friend! You can add similar or like items into various size bags to help keep things in order. I always take a few extra clean ones with me. They come in super handy.
- Keep all the sample and travel size products you get for vacations. Then when it comes time to pack you can just add those sample or travel size items into your bag. If you don’t check bags those sizes usually are small enough to carry on. Then you don’t have to worry about buying small sized products or leaving your big ones behind.
