If you are planning a day at Disney, you are going to have to wear a mask during the majority of your day. Here are my 5 tips for wearing masks at Disney World:
#1 – Pick a mask that you are already comfortable wearing. You Disney day isn’t the day for you to try out a brand new mask (unless it is a new version of one you already have tried). Be sure to practice mask wearing with little kids as Disney does require Guests 2 and older to wear masks.
#2 – Bring multiple masks to the park. With the sweat and humidity (and even the water rides and rain showers), you will be grateful to have multiple masks with you. I find switching mine out after lunch to be helpful with the afternoon heat.
#3 – Book a Table Service Lunch. You are able to remove your mask while you are at your dining table. I suggest booking a Table Service lunch for around 12-12:30 when the heat is really starting to intensify. This will give you 1 – 1.5 hours without the mask to prepare for the intense heat that the afternoon brings.
#4 – Neck towels and neck fans help. It is hot in Florida and the afternoon heat and the mask can be difficult to endure. Order a neck fan and neck towels to have in your park bag for when the heat gets to be too much. I also found a visor to help with the heat.
#5 – Water. Water. Water. Drink as much as you can endure because the heat and the mask is going to suck it out of you. Water is so vital in the Florida heat. Not soda. Water. Trust me…. you might not like the taste but your body is going to like the feel. Also bring water flavor packets if you need to.
Overall wearing a mask wasn’t as bad as I made it out in my mind to be.

This sounds like a horrible way to spend time at Disney not for us. I have a hard time with a mask for more then 15 minutes and a two year old required to wear a mask that is just laughable.
