Did you know that Disney’s Animal Kingdom covers over 500 acres? And houses over 250 species of animals? So awesome! It is a park not to be missed at Walt Disney World. For many families, Animal Kingdom isn’t a full day park-but it is one you must visit nonetheless! So today, I am going to share with you some FAQS about Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.
How many days should I spend at Animal Kingdom?
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is a great park to tour in one day. Most families spend one day there, out of their whole trip. Sometimes even 3/4 of a day is all you need. It’s a great park to enjoy in the morning, and then hop over to another park for the evening. If you have base tickets, you can enjoy Animal Kingdom from open until close.
Are there character dining experiences at Animal Kingdom?
Yes. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch or a dinner buffet at Tusker House with Mickey, Donald, and their friends in their safari gear. Although not character dining, Disney’s Animal Kingdom does house a location of the Rainforest Cafe. This rainforest themed restaurant is fabulous if you have animal lovers in your family!
What attractions should I use my FastPass Plus options for in Animal Kingdom?
The Kilimanjaro Safari, Expedition Everest, and Avatar- Flight of Passage are my top picks for Fast Pass Plus in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. If you are traveling with young children, Meet Favorite Disney Pals, Primeval Whirl, as well as the Finding Nemo-the Musical-are good options as well.
Are there tours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park?
Yes! In fact, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park offers some of the best “backstage” tours on Disney property-unique, educational, and amazing! You can enjoy the Wild Africa Trek as a family. It is open to guests of all ages. On this tour, you will spend 3 hours exploring the Safi River Valley and seeing the animals up close and personal. Another great tour at Animal Kingdom is the Backstage Safari Tour. This tour is for adults only, and it takes you on a tour of the facilities where the animals are cared for. You also can enjoy the animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari tour from a different view during the Backstage Safari Tour. Both of these tours required a separate admission, and are not included with your park admission.
Which Disney Resort is closest to Animal Kingdom?
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort-Kidani Village and Jambo House-is the closest resort to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. It is a resort in the Deluxe category, and provides guests with the option of savanna view rooms, viewing of animals, and an all around fabulous experience.
