Walt Disney World is the most magical place on earth, and the people working there help to make it happen. Before you go, know the appropriate tipping etiquette with these 6 tidbits on tipping at Walt Disney World.
1. Tipping Mousekeeping
Tipping Housekeeping otherwise known as Mousekeeping at Disney World is appreciated. These are the cast members who keep Disney Resort rooms clean day in and day out, it is a nice gesture to tip for their hard work. Tips average $1.00 per person, per day and some even make Mousekeeping envelopes. Cleaning is not necessary every day, simply leave out the ‘Do not Disturb’ sign to skip a day.
2. Tipping At Restaurants
As far as tipping at Restaurants, 15%- 20% of total bill is average. Also your receipt will show you the appropriate tip options. For parties of 6 or more an automatic 18% gratuity will be added. Keep in mind the Disney Dining Plan covers the meals and excludes all tips. Tipping at restaurants is expected.
3. Tipping At Buffets
Tipping at a Buffet may be a surprise to some as a Buffet suggests self-service. However, the cast members at buffets still refill drinks, clear plates and such to make the Buffets run smoothly. Tipping averages 15%-20% off total bill.
4. Tipping Magical Express Driver
This is not necessary but customary for many. Especially if they are helping with handling your luggage, the drivers are providing an extra service. Appropriate tip average is $1.00-$2.00 per luggage handled. This same rule also applies to Bell Services if you request their help.
5. Tipping Walt Disney World Bus Drivers
Bus drivers inside the parks are employed by Disney, this also includes Ferry boat drivers, Monorail staff, Ride Operators and Photo pass Photographers. These are non tipped positions at Disney and are not allowed to accept cash or cash equivalent for tips.
6. Tipping Additional Services
Walt Disney World offers additional services throughout their Parks, Resorts and at Disney Springs. These include, but not limited to: Hair Wrapping, Hair cuts, Spa, Art of Shaving and Bippity Boppity Boutique Fairy Godmothers. Any guest who uses these additional services should tip for excellent service.

I was shocked at how many feel they don’t need to tip at Disney.
