I completely agree with you on that note!!! We weren’t as impressed with Animal Kingdom as we thought we would be as far as the animals go. With the exception of the safari ride, it seemed almost like a zoo. But we still had a great time because we got to see so many characters there! We saw more characters there than the other 2 parks combined the previous days. My kids loved it!
Thanks for all the great pictures. We were just there 2 weeks ago and the after Disney blues have set in. Thanks for giving me pictures to “take me back”!
How in the world do you manage to see so many characters? When we were there, we saw mostly the ones at toon town and that was all. Is there a secret for when and where to find them? Thank you so much for sharing your WDW knowledge with us. I love visiting your blog several times a day and feel that I know you.
aww the characters look so cute in their safari gear! how do you know where to meet the characters? i don’t have little kids so i’m never looking but it would fun to run into them at ak!
Did you see Guitar Dan? He is the highlight of Animal Kingdom — a hidden treasure. He will talk to you for a minute or two then sing a custom song about your family. Have you camera on movie when you meet his. We decide when to visit Animal Kingdom based on when he will be there. He’s there 5 days a week.
Love all the pictures! When we go I am always sad when we have to leave. Now I am going to be sad when you have to leave because its like we have all been there all week. Thanks for sharing all your fun pictures!
The character trails are great. A little known fact…if it’s raining be sure to go to the conservation station. There will be bunches of characters to meet inside where it’s dry! We met at least 7 different characters including some rare ones.
I completely agree with you about it being the best place for characters. They are all in one place and you can go from one to the next and you can see the most popular ones too!

I completely agree! We *LOVE* finding the characters there, as they are so unique :)
I love having all the characters nearby! No need to dash from one side of the park to the other or anything.
I am a bit of an outdoorsy girl so I love the outfits they were!
