In my opinion, this is one of the best slow cooker recipes for applesauce. I bought a bag of apples and we just couldn’t finish them all before they starting going bad. So instead of tossing them out, I turned them into applesauce that my kids LOVE!

We peel a variety apples and put in 2 cinnamon sticks and shake some apple pie spice in and about 1/4 cup of apple juice. Cooked on low until still slightly chunky or longer if you like less chunks. We love it warm with a scoop of ice cream. Just made this thursday and will probably do it a couple more times this fall.
Will have to try this!
We just used that same recipe this past weekend and loved it! But we checked our after about 3.5 hours and they were easy to mash up. My son loved making it!
we make apple sauce every year in the crockpot– we go to the orchard, pick, then peel and cook– we then freeze in Ziploc bags or in ball canning- plastic containers for freezer. love this time of year for this!
