Brienne has proved that small things really do add up! She has successfully couponed her way to almost half of what she needs for her upcoming trip.
I am pretty happy to report that I have paid off most of my trip with earned money from apps, and it is all thanks to Kristen Cooper, her Couponing to Disney Website and SavEars Facebook group. My trip total was $2,881.37 which includes 9 nights at Pop Century, 8 Park Hoppers, Memory Maker and our flight.
I started to really use Swagbucks in June when I found this wonderful community of Disney fanatics who like me, love Disney but are on a budget. I have learned so much these past 9 months. It is time consuming and not always fun, but the end result is so worth it. I try to make at least $50 a month with Swagbucks cashing out for $25.00 Sams Club at the beginning of the month (discounted for $22.00) and $25.00 Paypal at the end of the month.
Then I do what I can with the other money making apps. I have made a total of $1,716.96 so far and used my tax refund to pay for the rest of my trip. I only counted bonuses on IBOTTA not the cashback on items. I thought of that as more of a coupon then earned money.
I purchase the gift cards at Sams Club for a discounted price ($144.98 for 150.00 in gift cards). I use my gift cards from Swagbucks when I acquire $150.00. Then I use my Discover Card for the rest of the balance, because it has been offering 5% cashback at warehouse stores. Then I use PayPal to pay off Discover.
I am hoping that the money in my dime jar will be enough for food. I still have a whole month to earn more!
Here is the breakdown of my savings, as you can see every little bit adds up:
