Budgeting For Souvenirs At Disney World

Guests can price out their Disney Resort stay easily online. However, budgeting for souvenirs can be a little more tricky. Guests often ask, how much should I budget for souvenirs? Today, we explore this question.

Luckily, Disney World does have budget friendly souvenirs. Prices range from free to hundreds of dollars. Therefore, what you budget depends on what you want to buy. Guests can easily go to Disney and buy no souvenirs, however once you are at Disney the temptation is there. Take a look through the list and see what fits your fancy, then add it up. Plus, there is a scenario for a family of four at the bottom.

Budget Friendly Souvenirs:

• Pressed Pennies –  found throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including the parks and resorts. These are the ultimate budget friendly souvenirs, at just $0.51 each.
• Celebration Buttons – guests can choose from: Happy Birthday, Happily Ever After, 1st Visit or I’m Celebrating: (Fill In The Blank), these are free!
• Autograph Books – purchase an autograph book at Disney World for as low as $7.99, then collect Character signatures for free!
• Magnets – found in most gift shops at Disney are a variety of fridge magnets, a fun and frugal way to remember your vacation with many under $10.
• Pins – individual Disney pins cost an average of $10.
• Balloons – on Main St USA are a sight to see, Budget $12 for balloons, or $15 for light-up balloons in the evening. Remember balloon vendors accept cash only.
• Kidcot Stations – are a free souvenir and activity at Epcot’s World Showcase, each pavilion has a kidcot station where guests can receive a suitcase style Ziploc bag and then collect cards from each country. 
• Stickers – cast members often hand out stickers, these are complimentary and fun to collect.

Popular Souvenirs:

• Minnie or Mickey Ears – these will run you $29.99
• Christmas Ornament – from Ye Old Christmas at Magic Kingdom or Days of Christmas at Disney Springs, ornaments cost an average of $30, with complimentary personalization.
• Mugs – there are mugs for man characters and Disney themes, pick one up for an average of $20 each.
• T-Shirts – apparel is a common souvenir, of this t-shirts are the most common, budget $30 for an adult tee and $17 for a child’s.
• Plush – these can be hard to resist and a medium sized plush will average $20.
• Light up Toys – when evening comes at the parks, the light up toy carts come out, guests will pay an average of $20 for a light up toy.
• Bubble wands – children love bubbles, and bubble wands are popular, costing $27.
• Picture Frame – for that frameable picture taken at Disney World, budget up to $30.

Luxury Souvenirs:

• Pandora Charms – Pandora is sold throughout shops at Disney and there is a Pandora store in Disney Springs, specialty charms will cost $70.
• Alex and Ani – bracelets are found throughout Disney World and at the Alex and Ani store in Disney Springs. Budget up to $100 for a Disney themed bracelet.
• Dooney and Bourke – the Disney themed bags have become quite popular, budget upwards of $300 for larger bags.
• Princess Dress – girls princess dresses cost $70 at Disney World.
