When Becoming An Annual Passholder makes financial sense:
*For a family of 4 (2 Adults & 2 Children aged 3-9 non-Florida Residents) total would be $3,576.00 + tax. This includes unlimited visits to all 4 theme parks at Disney World in a year, with park hopper and a photo service included for photopass pictures.
*For the same family of 4 (2 Adults & 2 Children aged 3-9) to buy 7-day Walt Disney World park tickets with park hopper would cost $2,069.00 + tax.
Therefore, the Annual Pass would pay for itself in just 2 visits to Walt Disney World in the scenario above. If you plan on visiting Disney World more than once in a year with an average of one week each, it is definitely worth considering and crunching your own numbers.
Note: children under 3 do not require a pass, they are essentially free to enter.
If you happen to live in Florida, with some requirements such as proof of address, Florida Residents get a discount when they purchase an Annual Pass.
