Everyone’s favorite space man action figure is getting his own movie! Pixar announced today that Lightyear, the definitive origin story of the original Buzz Lightyear will be blasting into theaters on June 17th, 2022.
There is very little information to be had right now, but we do know Captain America himself, Chris Evans, will be voicing Buzz! We will be following along as we learn how he became a galactic hero.
Update: Chris Evans has clarified that this is about the human Buzz Lightyear, that the toy we come to love is based on!
It’s going to be odd to see Buzz without Woody and the gang, but I’m excited to learn more about him!
