Going to the theme parks during the summer is typically hot and exhausting. But going in the middle of a pandemic when you are required to wear masks makes it a whole different experience.
We have been to Disney World a few times now and I wanted to share with you some products that are making our time in the parks easier.
TOURIT Cooler Backpack – We needed a new park bag and I wanted one that had a built in cooler. Ahhhhh! I could not be happier. See that frozen water bottle in my hand. What you don’t know is that is 8 hours after I took it out of the freezer and spent the day in Epcot. And it was still over 70% frozen. Like dang…. so impressed.
This backpack has everything you need to hold your goodies in the park. It has a huge cooler that can hold up to 30 cans of soda. We usually put 8 bottles of water in it with ice packs (we use these) and then we also put in our neck fans. I have a wet/dry bag that I got as a gift that I store the fans in within the cooler.
It also has a larger zippered front pocket with a mesh interior zippered pocket. Great for sunscreen, tylenol, bandaids and other things we carry in the parks.
There is a front zippered pocket that is perfect for all your masks. Make sure you pack 2-3 masks per person because you are going to get sweaty!
And then there is a top pocket that is great for your battery pack and other things that you need quick access to.
It also has 2 mesh side pockets and then on the strap there is a pocket that will hold your cellphone securely.
And there is a bottle opener….which is also great for hanging your chapstick and hand sanitizer holders on.
Neck towels make wearing the mask so much more bearable. I found these thin neck towels at the Dollar Tree! They are the perfect size and work great! Hopefully you can find them too.
If not, you can buy a variety of neck towels on Amazon. Just look for ones with great reviews.
Neck fans, neck fans, neck fans. These make it soooo much better! Everyone was so jealous and asking us where we got our fans. These are the ones we have and they last us the whole time we are in the parks on low.
A comfortable mask. We tried out a few brands of masks before deciding on the cute line by Park Candy (use the code SAVEARS for 10% off). They have a ton of choices and are constantly adding more. I find them to be super comfortable and you can wear them with or without the filter.
You’ll also need to rock a hat to shade your face as much as possible. One does not want a mask tan! Make sure to wear light clothing and colors.
And, if possible, book a Table Service lunch reservation for the hottest part of the day. This will give you a nice break in the a/c from the mask before you endure the heat. Plan indoor attractions or ones with an air conditioned queue from 12-5 when possible.
Best of luck my friends!
