Keep your eye out as you drive around town- or better yet, give your local Rite Aid a call. While some stores have already been closed down after Walgreens bought the chain, others are just getting started!
My local Rite Aid just announced their store liquidation and everything is 50% off! There are still plenty of deals to be had. Remember, your store inventory will vary, but if you’ve been on the fence about checking out the sales, don’t hesitate any longer!
I scored two great toys for Miss Bongo’s Christmas- a color your own Micky & Minnie Bobblehead, and a DC Girl Wonder Woman doll! There was plenty of Disney to be had, along with Hatchimals, Play-Goh and other great name brand toys.
Take a list of what you need and the shades with you! I stared at Revlon foundation for 10 minutes because I couldn’t remember the numerical value of how pale I am. Ultimately, I had to leave the makeup behind!
The cards were plentiful, as were school supplies. With so many hot school supply deals coming, I would not recommend overpaying and buying now, even at 50% off. I’d also probably wait on stockpiling any cards, unless you happen to need a specific card in the next few days.
In my store, beer was gone, as was toilet paper and a large portion of snacks and soft drinks. However, wine was plentiful, and also 50% off! While there, a lady was stocking up on cigarettes, also 50% off.
It pays to think a little outside the box and also to think ahead. What will you need in the future that you can save on now? Just make sure you don’t stockpile so much of something you can’t use it all before it’s expiration date. Also, shop with your price comparison hat on! Some store brand feminine products and antacids, even at 50% off, were still more expensive than the equate version at Walmart. Don’t be afraid to price check everything on your phone before you put it in your cart. I saved myself several dollars that way.
