Cereal Dump Bars Recipe
Every couple of weeks my pantry is suddenly full of disserted cereal boxes with less than a full bowl left in them. No one seems to want last month’s cereal when there is a fresh box ready to go, and so these poor boxes accumulate quickly. When that happens I turn the remaining cereal into a new treat, Cereal Dump Bars. The combination of different cereals is what makes these bars so much fun and delicious too, and the once untouchable cereal remains are once again irresistible. Even better, these come together with no baking and just a few ingredients!
Ingredients
1 cup peanut butter
½ cup honey
3 cups of mixed cereal
In a large bowl mix together your variety of cereal. Larger, chunky cereals brands may need to be chopped up a little bit so that they blend well and are able to stick together. In a medium saucepan combine the honey and peanut butter. Heat over low heat until melted and thoroughly combined and smooth. Pour the mixture over the cereal and gently stir to coat. Push the mixture into an 8X8 square pan that has been lined with wax paper and greased. Refrigerate until firm, approximately 1 hour. Once firm lift out of the pan and cut into bars. Enjoy!
