Oh my gosh. I feel like I have a shopping hangover. I’ve spent so much time hunting deals, comparing deals, making my list, checking it twice- and I spent more than I had originally planned. At least now we’re stocked on new towels, washcloths, cat litter and other various household things- all at a discount. I won’t lie to you guys and say I didn’t splurge. I totally bought more than I should have and things we don’t need- but at least I worked some pretty decent deals in the process.
I did head to CVS to score my freebies. I rolled my bucks to minimize what I spent out of pocket and generally just felt pretty good about it. Pro Tip: No one goes to CVS on Black Friday. We had the store to ourselves, our choice of the sales and I’m just tickled to have those free household items.
We’ve been traveling a lot this week visiting family, and my pitiful earnings reflect that. I even did a last minute push trying to have something to push me up a little bit and nope. It’s just going to be a super, super low week. I’m really unhappy with what I managed, but I’m trying to practice giving myself grace- we got to see family, we ate good food (we didn’t pay for), and I can try to make up the difference tomorrow.
It’s all good y’all. Even a baby step is still a step forward.
