I couldn’t agree with Brandy more! Amazon Prime is the best tool I have to save money on everyday items including groceries. The best part it they deliver it to you! You don’t have to drag the kids out of the house, chase them around the store, deal with the can I have this questions, and my favorite reason it saves me time.
This is a little over due! I really want to post these weekly they help keep me motivated to see my progress. My Disney fund is one of those things I just add money in and don’t look often. Because if I do then I am tempted to spend it. The goal is on Tuesday weekly. Life gets in the way sometimes. I am really going try my hardest to be consistent and stick with it every Tuesday.
When my husband first lost his job I tried couponing. The old skool couponing we all did a few years ago. The game has changed so much! There is very few coupons and in store offers that are really good deals. Like good enough to make me drive 20 minutes to go couponing. I made a rule when I first starting couponing. That in order for me to make a special trip. I had to save at least $30.00 per trip. I spent a month trying to coupon shop at Walgreen’s and Target. I quickly noticed the savings weren’t that much better then just shopping Amazon’s sales. They make you feel like you are saving a ton, by marking up the items but after sale price, coupons, and rewards back its almost exactly the same as shopping Amazon. Actually if you factor in your time, gas wasted, and impulse buys. Shopping Amazon’s sales saves way more then shopping in stores with coupons. There is just so much to cover with Amazon. I am going to spend a few weeks breaking it all down! This week we are going to focus on the basics what you get included with your Amazon Prime membership.
If you don’t have an Amazon membership get one ASAP! It does cost $12.99 a month or $119.00 per year. If you happen to have a student in your home. Have the student sign up. How much did I earn:
On to the question of the day how much did I earn towards my Disney fund this go around! Ibotta had that really nice $10.00 bonus. We where out of a lot of things. I was able to get the bonus for both my husband and myself. You had to buy like 20 items to get the bonus. That is why my totals from Ibotta are so high. I had also cashed out to my husband’s Paypal in December for $28.00 and forgot about it. That money is added into my Ibotta earnings.
For Swagbucks the big earners, I did was LifeLock for 2,200, Kiwi for 1,500, and Been Verified for 1,000 SB. I earned 750 from surveys, 143 from shop and earn, 400 for purchasing a discounted gift card, and 67 from random small things. For a total of 6,060 SB ($60.60)! It did cost me $17.00 for Kiwi, and $1.00 for Been Verified. My husband earned 1,500 from surveys and 1,000 from Been Verified. For a total of $24.00 after the $1.00 cost of Been Verified. That makes our total earnings $67.60 from SB!
1/8 – 1/23
Found money in purse – $13.90
Hubby’s Birthday money – $46.00
My Swagbucks – $42.60
