It always seems to me like our trips to Disney World are over before they begin. When you are there and immersed in the Magic, time flies. I think Tinker Bell must speed up the clock or something.
We started our last day at Disney World with a breakfast at ‘Ohanas. We are huge fans of that character meal and I highly suggest that you put it on your list. I love it because it’s all you can eat family style, that means they bring the food to your table instead of you having to go up to the buffet to fix your plate like most of the other character meals. Plus I love Lilo and Stitch.
And of course I started crying in the middle of the meal because I missed my kids. I don’t think I could of done a longer trip without them. Don’t get me wrong, we had a blast and it was very romantic and worth it, but there is nothing like seeing the magic through your kid’s eyes.
After our wonderful breakfast, we checked out and then headed to the Animal Kingdom. We could definitely tell that the Fourth of July crowds were arriving as Animal Kingdom was PACKED. But the only thing that we wanted was to see the Festival of the Lion King and get a picture in front of the Tree of Life.
We ate our last meal at Captain Cooks before we boarded the Magical Express to return to the airport. The flight from Orlando to Atlanta was great, but we were delayed over an hour out of Atlanta due to engine trouble. I think Jason still has the bruise on his hand where I squeezed it so tight during the 22 minute flight. I do not like the words engine or trouble.
Overall the trip was incredible and well worth the 10 years of saving. It was everything I had hoped it would be and then some.
I am so excited for you and Jason! WHAT and amazing trip for the two of you to take! So fabulous. We were on vacation last week as well so I missed this! Thank You so much for sharing your love of Disney with us all! It is truly a magical experience. My children still talk about it 6 years later! We will go again soon! I know that missing the kids feeling. I swam with dolphins on vacation and was looking for and wanting to share it through their eyes!
So glad you guys had a wonderful time!! You are making me think I need to start scrimping to save up for a trip for hubby and I alone sometime!! Our anniversary is right before Christmas, and last year we spent our FIRST night away alone since having kids! It was fun, don’t know if I could go further away than we did (an hour) or for any longer than just one night yet, but it was still wonderful!
So glad you had a fantastic time! It is strange when we are away from our children. I always feel like I am looking to see their response and then feel saddened when I realize they are not there!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with all of us. Congratulations again on your 10 year anniversary, and blessings for many more years ahead. ºoº
