Day 40 of Everyday at Disney was spent at Animal Kingdom in the evening. We were parked on the front row of the parking lot (well just after handicap parking). I couldn’t believe how close we were! Of course we still lost the van and went to the wrong location on the way back. HA!
On our way into the park we met Governor Ratcliffe. We didn’t know his name when we met him so we asked a Cast Member on the way in. She had to radio to someone who didn’t know it and had to look it up. I found that to be highly amusing.
The crowds were extremely light. Expedition Everest only had a 15 minute wait at 4 PM. Primeval Whirl was 10 minutes and Triceratop Spin was walk on. It was GREAT!
I rode Primeval Whirl with Jacob and it was rough. Like rougher than normal. At the end of the ride it threw me from one seat to another and I ended up with a bruise on my leg. Be very careful if you decide to ride this one!
Afterwards we went to see Finding Nemo – The Musical. We have not seen this since our first trip and even then I was not able to see the show in its entirety because I had to leave the theater with a grumpy toddler.
The show was absolutely fantastic. The puppeteers did a great great job. I definitely want to see this one again!
We stopped for a snack after this (granola bar from home) and while Jacob was eating his snack his tooth came out! Finally one of my kids lost a tooth at Disney! I did ask Guest Services if there was a special sticker but there wasn’t.
Tidbits
- Take a picture of where you park – I really need to learn that lesson. Or I need some kind of app that tells me.
- Don’t forget to take off your hat – Anytime you get on any kind of ride that moves quickly, take off your hat! I lost a hat on Kali River Rapids a few years ago and I almost lost mine on Primeval Whirl. Not good!
Drop a pin on your GPS app for your parking spot, directions right to it.
That is such a clever idea!
I do parking lot pictures at airports too. My husband always says I’m crazy and then asks me to check the pic when we land. Lol
