Day 3 on the Cruise was a lot of fun! We woke up and got dressed and headed to deck 9 to enjoy a breakfast buffet at Top Siders Buffet. We were in port this day and decided after breakfast to get off and walk into Cozumel for an hour or so. It was super easy to get off, just had to scan our Key to the World cards. We also had to show our drivers license to get back on, so we brought those with us as well. I saw a Starbucks at the end of the pier and thought we could get free wi-fi, but no such luck. We walked into the Marketplace and saw some bracelets that we wanted to get the girls. They were $10 each, but we knew we could barter. We told them we had $15 cash and that was all we could pay, they accepted that for the three bracelets. We walked around for a few minutes and looked in the shops. Things were cheap and we could have bought tons of fun things, but decided that we would wait to do that later in the summer when the kids weren’t with us and we could look without the stress of them touching everything.
We got back on ship, which was super easy process. They scanned our cards and let us on quickly. We went back to the room and got our swim suits on to go swimming. We enjoyed having the pool to ourselves, as most had got off of the boat. We ate lunch Top Siders Buffet again for lunch, then headed down to Deck 4 with the younger two to enjoy a family craft time. We got to decorate reusable bags. Chloe opted to skip this and enjoy the magic show in the Kids Club. After we were done with the bags, we went to drop off the other two in kids club. Steve and I worked out, running on deck 10 for a bit, then headed to the fitness center to work out a little more. Then we walked around delivering our Fish Extenders, then picked up the kids to go as a family to make another craft. This time we made Pirate Ship door magnets and decorated them. We went back to the room to enjoy 30 minutes of down time and rest. Emma and Maci wanted to go back to Kid’s Club to enjoy Story time with Belle. Steve dropped them off while Chloe and I changed into swimsuits again. We took her to the Pluto pool and enjoyed the hot tub and deeper water. She also go to enjoy Seaside Jams and dance on the stage by the pool.
We picked up all of the kids and went back to our room to get ready for dinner. Tonight’s theme was pirate night and we knew we would be getting some pirate garb to wear at dinner. There was a fun conga line and the kids enjoyed walking around with our servers. After dinner we dropped off the kids to enjoy Pirate face painting and a pirate adventure in the kids club.
Steve and I enjoyed listening to Michael Harrison, a ventriquilist. He was really funny. After the show, we picked up our kids and headed up to deck 9 for the pirate party and fireworks. This was a very fun, interactive party and the fireworks were amazing. We took glow bracelets to give our kids for this party. They were easier to find in the crowds this way as well.
What are fish extenders?? Did I miss this in an earlier post?
