Denise is doing such a great job! She is well on her way to paying off her Disney 2017 trip. She shared her savings report with us in the Savears.
January Savings for $2017 in 2017: app/rebate/other savings update: $885.45 ($360.00 were leftover gift cards from a previous vacation). Our last Disney vacation was December 2016 so current savings is about 6 weeks worth of effort.
IMO, tracking and writing down is one of the biggest pains (whether it is for weight, exercise, savings, spending, etc.); however, when I focus and do it consistently I have the biggest results. It’s amazing how the little pockets of change/money add up.
In addition I started an aggressive savings & penny pinching program so I can pay off my school loans by 2018 instead of the 2022 due date.
