I live about an hour from Disney blocks from the beach. I was really hoping for a cooler summer after the unusually cold winter. My goal always is to make it to June without turning on the AC because our electric bill soars.
I got my bill the other day and it was unbelievably low and I bet that will be the last I see of the under $100 for a while as I regrettably had to turn on the AC this week as it is just unbearably hot and usually we are cooler with the ocean breeze.
So Kristin, not sure how the weather is in Alabama but it is scorching here already. Bring lots of sunscreen!

You have really inspired me to start saving all of my rebate checks and survey checks for our vacation fund. Right now we save a little bit evey paycheck but if I added these additional things we would be able to do some extra things on vacation. Have a great time at Disney World!

We have been getting some nice weather here in CA too, so I’ve been able to line dry lots of stuff. Our bill was 17 less than normal — I told DH it was going towards DL. :)

Did you know that if you call your light company & tell them you’d like to pay one full year for a discounted price they will knock anywhere from $75 to $200 off? Just a thought then you could pocket that into your fund too.
