You’ve been to Disney World, seen Disneyland and you might of even went to Disney Paris… but now what? Let me introduce you to the magical world of Dinsey Cruise Line. The most amazing, magical, wonderful, memorable family vacation you will ever encounter and the memories will be forever.
Disney Cruise line is unlike any other cruise line in the world, at least to the Crazy Mom’s household it is, and I bet once you step foot on either the Dinsey Magic, Disney Wonder or now the brand new Disney Dream, you will think the same way.
Disney has done it all, with world class service on any of their Theme parks and hotels, but the Cruise line to me beats them all. How can Disney be even better you ask? To us the Disney Crew on the ship is amazing, friendly, helpful and you get to know them and become friends, make jokes, and just have a good ole time with your server that is with you the entire cruise. The Crew on any of the Disney ships gets to know you and your family really well and will remember your favorite drink, food, allergies even your Birthday. It’s remarkable, service is amazing. It’s almost like you are Queen Elizabeth and everyone does everything for you. Disney wants to make this a memorable vacation for the entire family and will spoil you the minute you step food on the ship until the minute you disembark… believe me when I say “Chocolate covered strawberries” are just the beginning of an amazing family vacation….
There is so much to see and do on the Disney Cruise so come on, grab a cup of Joe and relax, sit back and let me show you around and tell you WHY we think this is the most magical Disney Family vacation EVER….. … we were also lucky to be traveling with a good friend, who has been on 10+ Disney Cruises and he gave us a lot of insight on what to do, how to do it and a lot behind the scene stuff… so consider yourself lucky, because I did not sign a secrecy document and I will spill all the beans that I know about the Disney Cruise Line…
So far we have been on 3 Disney Cruises, 2 of them with the kids a 4 day and a 5 day and one time hubby and I went without the kids and we had just as much fun as we did with the kids… so Disney Cruises aren’t just for families, there are young people, older people, families with kids, families without kids and Mickey, and the entire gang….
When we first decided to take a Disney cruise, my Toddler had just turned one, my Tween was 9 and my Teen just turned 13.. you can see we had a huge age gap and a challenge ahead of us to keep everyone entertained the entire 4 days we were on board the Disney Wonder.
Tip One: Arrive at the Cape early like 10 AM but no later than 11 AM… they will open the doors to the ship I think around 11 AM, first passengers to arrive will l get on board first.. we always take our swim suits and hang out in the Mickey Pool and eat ALL we can eat.. while waiting for our room to be ready.. BUT the vacation starts the minute you walk through the terminal and it’s an amazing feeling to hear “Welcome on Board to the Roberts’ Family” and the entire crew claps and cheers… soo cool….
What was our experience with 3 kids of completely different ages? It was amazing, Disney did what Disney does best.. entertain!!
They have a Nursery for the little cruise travelers, that are 6 weeks and up. The nursery does have limited hours from like 9-noon and 4pm – 12am but may vary for different cruises and activities, and they do, unlike anything else on the ship charge a small hourly fee, space is limited and needs to be reserved if you like to spend some Adult time or time on excursions or some ME time… I think it’s $5.00/hr.
The Oceaneer Club/ Oceaneer Lab is for ages 3 -11 and is completely FREE for any child to attend from 9AM – 12:30 AM or may vary on some days; there are youth counselors with your little ones at all times and have ton of planned activities for your “tike” to participate in. I heard some friends talk before they went on a cruise like ” I would never drop my kid of on our family vacation, or let them spend the evening in the kids club, why would we do such thing…lol” Funny thing, the same parents came back from their cruise and needless to say the kids WANTED to spend the entire cruise in the kids club… can you blame them? Who wouldn’t want to have a PJ party with Pluto or Story time with Bell?? It’s all part of the magical time on a Disney Cruise ship…. This club and ALL activities are completely FREE !!!
The Teen Club… yup you guessed it… just for the 13 and up crowed… they can hang out with kids their own age in the loft, have planned activities and make their own schedule and party themes, as well as Wii tournaments, basketball tournaments and so on… This Club and all activities are completely FREE!!
So as you can tell, we are excited about Disney Cruise Line and they have something to offer for any age group, once dinner is over and all the kids are in their kids club it’s time for Mom and Dad to visit the Clubs that are located on the Ship. Adult Only 18+ up crowed, from entertainment, shows to dancing… a ton of fun…Just for the Big Kids :-)
Are you excited yet… ?? So step on board the magical world of Disney and let your Cruise director “Crazy Mom” guide you through an unforgettable experience……… We hope to see you soon for the next chapter … “Explore the ship….. “
