I had a pretty great week this week…
$5 Target Gift Card – Took $5 out of the grocery budget and put it in my fund (see how I do that here)
$10 – I took advantage of a deal at Michael’s a month ago for $50 in Old Navy gift cards for $40. Today I realized I didn’t put that $10 I saved in the Disney fund. So I took $10 out of the MISC budget and put it in my fund
$5.99 Staples Easy Rebate Check
$2.26 in spare change
$25 Landrys gift card earned from SwagBucks (will use at Rain Forest Cafe on our next trip)
$10 from a CVS survey (sign up here). After I completed it, I was given $10 in ECBs. I took them and used them to buy a few grocery items that we needed. Took $10 out of the grocery budget and put it in our fund.
$58.25 added to the Disney fund. $2092.05 saved since November 12th, 2011 (see past deposits here). Our goal is $3,700. Going the end of January 2013 (see our pending budget here).
I want you to learn how to grow your own fund too! If you are new to couponing, start with the Getting Started Couponing Series, followed by the How To Start Your Fund series. Remember you can use these savings principles to save for anything you want from Disney trips to paying off debt to buying a new television. As the great Walt Disney said “If you can dream it, you can do it!”

Right now we have several funds going – dh is saving for a new tv (ours is on its last legs), I have a Christmas fund going, and we are working towards getting out of debt, too. The latest thing I am doing, which funds the Christmas fund, is walking a neighbor’s dog in the afternoon. My dd was doing this, and it got to be too much for her with sports practices. So now I do it. It adds $25-35 per week to the fund, depending on how many days I do it. Added bonus is that I am forced to exercise more, too.
