Maya Grill Restaurant at Walt Disney World is at the Coronado Springs Resort. Entrees include Sirloin Tacos, Pollo a las Rajas, Pescado a la Talla, etc.
Tidbit: Even though this restaurant is located at a resort, anyone can eat here. If you are driving, just let the gate keeper know you have a dining reservation and he will let you park. If you are taking Disney transportation, you will need to take a bus from your resort to a park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to the bus for the resort where the meal is located.

Maya Grill was my wild card dinner choice when I was planning our extended family vacation last Thanksgiving. I’m super glad I did though, everyone on the trip is still talking about the cornbread (and trying figure out how to imitate it at home). Our entrees ranged from burgers to steak to salmon (a party of 8 can get a pretty good feel for the menu options) and everyone was pleased. If you’re on the dining plan, go for the churro dessert. My sister and sister-in-law claim the caramelized bananas tasted like Christmas lol. (and no, i don’t know what exactly that means either, but based on the clean plates we’ll assume it is a very good thing) I won’t say it’s my favorite WDW restaurant, but if you need a solid back up or are planning on being in that resort anyway, I’d give it a go.
We ate there on a surprise trip in 2008 and were quite disappointed. If I remember correctly we ate there on a Saturday night and they were out of just about everything we ordered, even down to the kids menu. We ordered one type of wine and were given something completely different. We spoke to the manager and he did not have the “Disney magic” and really did not try to make it right. We ended up writing Disney a letter and were pleased with their response back. My husband works in the food and beverage business and he even said that it was unacceptable. I hope that others had a better experience and I can’t say that we will not go back. Everyone has a bad day even restaurants.
Christina thank you for your post! We are going in December and staying at the Coronado and will be eating dinner there our first night. I am glad to hear that I made a good choice.
I went to this restaurant in July 2011. It was by chance actually that my mom and I decided to eat here. We were “hotel hopping” that day and we were at the Grand Floridan just getting on the Monorail when we started talking about dinner. We wanted to go see the Coronado and remembered that there was a restaurant there but could not remember the name. Well, what are cell phones for? I called my husband back at home had him go to Disney.com found the Maya Grill, found the Reservations tab clicked and five mins later we had a reservation number he text to me. We arrived (by private car) no crowd to speak of. It was about seven o’clock. We would not have needed a reservation, which is sad because this is a VERY overlooked place. We had excellent service, the food was fantastic, the atmosphere was wonderful and beautiful to look at . I had the Salmon and my mom had a steak entree. It was such a wonderful meal I even attempted to e-mail Disney to get the recipe, which of course they would not give me lol. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend you try it. Of course private/rental car is the easiest and fastest way to get there, but with a little extra time and thinking you can get there by bus. Easiest way I believe to do that would be to go to any of the parks/Downtown Disney from your current hotel and then get on the bus to the Coronado. That definitely would take some extra time but I believe very much worth the effort.
